My favourite things to do in December | BLOGMAS

Welcome to Blogmas Day 3!

Is it just me or is it often the case in the colder months that you find yourself sitting in the house watching TV all day rather than actually doing something because it’s too cold and miserable outside to go out? I’ve put together a list of all of my favourite things to do in December to remind myself why I love it so much and to potentially give some of you some inspiration of what you can do this December!

<3 Get all wrapped up and go for a walk!

This is literally my favourite thing to do in any season, but there’s something special about it in the Winter. Whether you do it during the day when it’s ~slightly~ warmer, or brave the night time chill, it’s so relaxing and it helps to get your 10,000 steps in!

<3 Have a nosy at peoples Christmas decorations

This one kind of links in with the last one, either head out for a walk around the block to see everyone’s decorations or jump in the car and go for a drive a bit further out (if you go out in the car make sure you’ve got all your fave Christmas songs on a playlist ready for the drive to have the ultimate Christmas sing song!)

<3 Christmas markets

If you haven’t already, you need to visit a Christmas market this year! They’re absolutely perfect for getting you into the festive spirit, and if you do it you have to do it right, which means indulging on fudge, mulled wine and probably some sort of nutella filled delicacy until you feel sick to the stomach.

<3 Late night shopping

There’s something I just love about Christmas present shopping (or shopping for yourself… I’m not judging!) when it’s dark with all the Christmas lights up and probably a bit of Mariah Carey or Chris Rear playing. Most shopping centre’s and retail parks are open later over the Christmas period and going late night shopping is so much more exciting than regular shopping!!

<3 Going for coffee/hot chocolate

Again, isn’t there just something so much more exciting about popping to a coffee shop in the Winter than on a normal day? Maybe it has something to do with the hot drinks making it feel slightly warmer than 0 degrees outside, or maybe it’s all of the added sugar in the festive syrups they add to the coffee? Whatever it is, it’s a great, scrumptious way of catching up with friends over the festive period!

<3 Baking

December is the perfect time to bake because everyone knows that calories don’t count at Christmas! I’ve got some baking posts going up later this month so get excited for them!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this post! Tomorrow we’re going to be talking winter skincare with my favourite new product!

The weather has been absolutely horrible lately, but with a pup we’re bound to get out. It can be -as you describe- very fun and relaxing, but when its raining, puppy-dear isn’t walking and you realise you should’ve put that scarf on after all before you went out, it isn’t quite as idyllic… But yeah, walks are nice, especially walking towards a hot cup of choco! 😉
